Thanksgiving Hours

The Library will be closing @ 5pm on Wednesday November 22nd and Will be Closed for Thursday and Friday.  The Library will be open for normal hours on Saturday November 25th from 10am – 4pm.

Attention Brown Bag Book Discussion Members

We will meet Wednesday, December 6 at 12:00 (not 1:00).

I will pick up wraps at Four Corners to be paid for that day at $3.00 each – please feel free to bring chips, olives, ½ dozen cookies or any other accompaniment to enhance our festive meeting! Cider and coffee will be served!

The book for discussion in December is “O! Pioneer!”- January’s discussion book will also be available: “Brave Companions”.

New additions -- Tutorials on webpage

Downloadable Movies - My Library TV

Middlebury has purchased Downloadable Movies and TV shows for the Library. You will be able to download movies to your computer at home and then play them back on your TV by connecting your computer to the TV. Please stay tuned for the launch of this program and check back here for more updates and instructions. The latest announcement is that it should be ready in Mid-December.

Introduction to Blogging - Nov. 21st @ 7PM

Please sign-up for this computer demonstration for "Everything about Blogging" on November 21st @ 7pm in the Larkin Room of the Middlebury Public Library. We will cover - What is Blogging, How to search for Blogs, Create your own Blog, step up an RSS feed of your favorite Blogs and many other aspects of Blogging. If you are interested please call the Middlebury Public Library (758-2634) or stop by to sign up @ our circulation desk.

If you are interested in researching and establishing your own Blog, we recommend using Blogger.

Computer Classes

Please sign-up for basic, intermediate, or macintosh classes at the front desk. Basic and intermediate classes will be offered in the morning from 9am - 10am on alternate wednesdays and thursdays. Macintosh class will be tuesday evenings. If these times do not work for you, please call the middlebury public library (758-2634) or stop in and we will arrange class periods for you.
